Established as a retreat for employees of the Cudahy Packing Company in the 1920s, the Inverness Golf Club is steeped in tradition. Their golf course has challenged and delighted golfers for decades with its rolling terrain and slippery greens while maintaining its classic feel. From their pristine golf course, gourmet dining, modern tennis courts, and swimming facility, Inverness Golf Club offers something for the whole family. 

Established in 1962 by Paul Makray Sr. and originally called Thunderbird, Makray Memorial Golf Course is an 18-hole championship-caliber course that is open to the public, without the exclusion of membership, just like Paul wanted. It has a more than 24,000-square-foot clubhouse that offers various amenities to members, including locker rooms, dining areas, bar facilities, and banquet areas. 

Barrington Hills Country Club members enjoy the unique and pristine setting of our special club in the country. We are members who call the Barrington area our home and share a family-based interest. Our club hosts a scenic and challenging traditional golf course designed by Golden Age architect George O'Neill and restored in recent years by Tom Doak. We also offer pool facilities, excellent clay tennis courts and unique features of platform tennis, skeet shooting, and other summer and winter activities. The club’s fine and casual dining facilities are recently updated, and the food services are considered amongst the best in the area.

The Club at Wynstone is a private country club established in 1989. The Club features a highly acclaimed Jack Nicklaus Signature Design golf course, a family-friendly swimming pool and tennis complex, a beautiful clubhouse and year-round activities.

All ages welcome! The Barrington Park District operates a five-hole, par 3 Golf Learning Center located on Carl Avenue, two blocks west of Route 59, just south of Route 14. From April 1 to November 1, the course is open daily from 9:00 am until 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome to enjoy the game of golf at our Golf Learning Center.
