Publisher Christy Gallagher is a resident of Palm Desert. She and her husband Rob have been in the publishing business since 2014, specializing in the community and neighborhood magazines in Southern California. They have two adult daughters, Samantha and Maggie.

"As Southern California natives, we have been coming to the desert our whole lives and have always loved it. When we decided to move here, we were so surprised at all we "didn't know" about the area. Being in the publishing business, it was natural for us to recognize a need for a local guide for new residents. It would have been so nice to have a resource with all the information new movers need in one place when we moved here. And that is how BeLOCAL Coachella Valley came to be.
