7 Hills of Kirkland
A Memorial Day ride that starts and finishes at Marina Park is approximately 40 miles long and about 3,000 feet of climbing. It loops around Kirkland and offers a 60- and 100-mile ride option. The ride benefits Attain Housing and its efforts to end homelessness. Attain Housing 7 Hills of Kirkland – riding to end homelessness!
Virginia Mason Mother’s Day 5k and Half Marathon
The Virginia Mason Mother’s Day 5K and Half Marathon both take participants on a tour of the boroughs of Kirkland’s waterfront. The half marathon follows a route that starts at the campus of Northwest University and finishes at Juanita Beach Park, featuring more than five miles along the Cross Kirkland Corridor Trail.

Summer Sailing Series
Kirkland Sailing Club’s fleet of J22's competes in One Design racing with other local boats on Wednesday evenings and their Catalina Capri 22's join them racing in the Kirkland Summer Sailing Series on Friday evenings. Starting every Friday from the first Friday in June through the last Friday in August.

Evening Summer Concerts
A great free summer concert series for adults and youngsters alike. The Evening Summer Concerts is hosted by the Kirkland Downtown Association beginning the first Thursday in July through the third Thursday. The concerts take place from 7:00 pm-9:00 pm in Marina Park and are free to attend.

Hopelink’s annual Turkey Trot campaign helps provide emergency services and holiday assistance to families and individuals facing significant financial challenges in east and north King County during the winter months. The Trot is a 5k run from Marina Park to Carillon Point and back, open to both runners and walkers.

Christmas Ship
From late November to December 23, Argosy Christmas Ship sails to different Puget Sound waterfront locations joined by other lighted boats. The public is invited to gather on the shore of local waterfront parks such as Marina Park, Houghton Park and O Denny Park to view the ships and listen to the ship’s choir sing.

Winterfest celebrates the holiday season with activities for the kids, bonfires, a visit from Santa, entertainment, and the annual tree-lighting brought to you by the Kirkland Downtown Association.
