The Kirkland Performance Center

Centrally located in downtown Kirkland, Kirkland Performance Center has been the heart of live performance on the Eastside for more than 20 years. In a typical year, KPC acts as a gathering place for more than 300 concerts, plays, dance recitals, comedy shows, graduations, and coming-of-age celebrations.

But the past year has been anything but typical.

Due to current COVID restrictions on public venues, KPC cannot welcome audiences into our theater doors to experience the joy of live performance. But while live events have been postponed, our mission has not.

KPC has pivoted to serve the community in new ways. By recognizing that organizations all over the eastside are having to find new ways in which to reach their audiences or employees, KPC Studios has emerged as a local solution that enables organizations to stream to audiences right from the theater’s stage.

KPC Studios leverages Kirkland Performance Center’s new state of the art venue production improvements in video streaming, audio recording and live sound/lighting technology, coupled with its professional production team in order to provide an unparalleled creative space where artists, businesses and non-profits can express themselves creatively, exchange ideas, share culture, and connect with constituencies.

Clients partnering with KPC Studios to date include a diverse set of organizations such as Avennia Wine, Essentia Water, King Country Sexual Resource Center, Disability Rights WA, HistoryLink.org, In Concert for Cancer, and the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra. These partnerships allow organizations to connect within their own communities utilizing KPCs industry-standard commercial video streaming productions services and helps to sustain KPC’s financial stability.

KPC Studios is also the vehicle that is bringing live music to homes in the pandemic era. Though we can’t gather around our stage in person, KPC is dedicated to bringing the “stage” to you until we can be together again. Our KPC at Home series has been the glue keeping us all connected by lifting up the platforms of our favorite artists and making live performance more affordable and accessible to the people of the Eastside (and beyond) than ever before.

You can now enjoy live performances right from your home by tuning in to our KPC at Home: LiveStream series where we stream virtual concerts with new artists right from KPC’s Facebook and YouTube channels.

This spring, our KPC at Home: LiveStream series promises to feature an exciting and diverse line-up and we can’t wait to have so many amazing artists join us for a virtual concert. Upcoming dates and artists include:

  1. March 18: Classic rock band, Herding Cats
  2. April 1: Folk singer, Amanda Sue Winterhalter
  3. April 15: Blues legend, Lee Oskar
  4. April 29: Renowned singer & songwriter, LeRoy Bell
  5. May 13: The Tom Petty & Fleetwood Mac tribute band, Petty or Not
  6. May 27: Singer & songwriter, Young-Chhaylee
  7. June 10: Rock legends, Heart by Heart

There is nothing quite like seeing an outstanding live performance. The music, the lights, the laughs, and the energy of witnessing something truly great, all keep us coming back for more. Kirkland Performance Center and KPC Studios are committed to maintaining that experience for years to come.
