But First, Coffee

New England takes coffee seriously, whether it's to get a jump start on those chilly February mornings or just a reason to see an old friend. We are fortunate enough to have many great options, with much more to offer than just coffee.

Cafe la Reine
915 Elm St, Manchester
53 Hookset Rd, Manchester
The downtown location is the original, is small, and has the perfect cafe feel. Grab a coffee, perhaps a snack, and return to the office. The Hookset Rd location is much bigger and has the vibe of a quality breakfast and lunch place. Same great coffee, with a lot more to offer. If we didn't love the coffee so much, it would have ended up in our brunch recommendations.

Flight Coffee Company
209 Rt 101, Bedford
(603)836-6288
This is my go-to spot with in-house roasted beans and many caffeinated options. Always a good crowd of remote workers, meet ups, and coffee loving people. Sandwich options are limited but quite good, and the kids claim the cronuts are worth visiting for alone.

Union Coffee Company
42 South St, Milford
(603)277-3181
You will feel like you are in a city 20 times the size when you walk in. Live music, solid snacks, and alcohol! If the coffee shop from the TV show Friends was real, it would be this. Open later than a typical cafe and always buzzing. A great place to meet a friend and watch people come and go. They pour an excellent cold brew as well.

Buckleys Bakery & Cafe
436 Daniel Webster Hwy, Merrimack
(603)262-5929
Excellent baked goods and solid coffee. The location right off DW Hwy makes it very easy to get in and out. Always a mix of locals and regulars who have made this their daily stop on their way to work.

Dunkin'
Everywhere
Everyone knows New England runs on Dunkin', and I don't know where I would be without my 2 p.m. iced pick-me-up.  Luckily, there are 4 in my town. Convenient, quick, and great coffee. I am a huge fan of their wake up wraps, they are perfect for a light meal on the go.

The Sweet Spot Bakery & Cafe
353 Riverdale Rd, Weare
(603)529-6667
Known more for the baked goods(whoopie pies are the best around), this shop delivers on everything. The coffee wakes you up, the sandwiches fill you up, and the sweets shut the kids up. There is little out 114 past Goffstown, so support these folks who are doing a bang-up job.

A&E Coffee & Tea
1000 Elm St, Manchester
(603)578-3338
A&E has been roasting their single-origin beans for more than 20 years. With over 15 different beans available by the pound, the true coffee snob will be in heaven. The cafe serves up perfectly done lattes, espressos, and cappuccinos.

Coffeeberries
4 Orchard View Dr, Londonderry
(603)434-1030
Walking in the door is like getting a coffee punch to the face. The aroma overwhelms you. Laid back atmosphere, with friendly service and perfect drinks. The flavored coffees are brewed, not syrup. They have a small assortment of gifts to purchase as well.

Local Tip
Hometown Coffee Roasters in Manchester has become my new obsession. Whether for a grab-and-go latte or a client meeting, I find myself there daily.  Jill R.
