The historic home of William Lenoir, Fort Defiance, Lenoir, NC, was constructed in the late 18th century on the site of the original fort and stockade. It is maintained as a museum now and hosts many special events.
Caldwell Heritage Museum

Opened in 1991, Caldwell Heritage Museum educates and preserves the history of Caldwell County for future generations through educational services and exhibits. The museum also has several special interest collections: medical, music, military, and photography. Special collections of loaned items are featured for short periods of time each year.

Harper House / Lyerly House

Built in 1887, the Harper house has "the finest Queen Anne interior styling in the entire state,” according to the NC Department of Archives and History. Built in the Craftsman style, the accompanying Lyerly House offers museum exhibits of Victorian times.

Green Room Community Theatre
