The Mill has been a popular place in Lincoln to enjoy coffee, espresso beverages and teas since 1975. They have four locations throughout Lincoln. The environment is relaxed and is a great place to study, chat with friends, or hold meetings. All Mill locations serve light breakfast and lunch items. And a couple of the locations have cocktail bars. Indoor and outdoor seating are available.

Bagels and Joe is Lincoln’s very first independent bagel establishment and was founded in 1993. With three locations, they serve a wide variety of clientele who gather for meetings, to chat with friends, or to play cards. Delicious bagels, salads, sandwiches, soups, lattes, and freshly brewed coffee are a few of the menu items they are so well known for. 

The Harbor

The Harbor has two locations: The original location is in the Piedmont Shopping Center. The newest location is in the Haymarket. Both are local favorites for coffee, bakery items and as an eatery. They are popular spots for groups of people who gather to play board games, read books or study. The staff is extremely kind, and they take pride in preparing your order with care. 

The Chocolate Season

The Chocolate Season is Lincoln's family-owned chocolaterie and coffee shop. They specialize in handmade artisan chocolates and confections, but also love providing the community with a full espresso bar, a nosh 'n' nibbles menu, waffle menu and coffee truck for hire!

Crescent Moon

Crescent Moon Coffee is tucked away in the lower level on the southeast corner of Eighth and N streets. They serve hand-made coffee beverages as well as cocktails in the evening. In addition, Crescent Moon often has live performances by local musicians, poets, and more. 

The Coffee House

Established in 1987, The Coffee House is located in the heart of downtown. When visiting the coffee shop, guests enjoy cozy seating, board games, baked goods, specialty teas, smoothies and plenty of books to read. 

Lincoln Espresso

If you’re looking to make a quick stop for a great coffee or smoothie, Lincoln Espresso is the place to go. The shop is mainly a drive-through, but customers are also welcome to sit at the quaint coffee bar located inside. Both the owner and staff are welcoming and provide good customer service.

Founded in 2004, Cultiva is famous for their delicious crepes and espresso. The atmosphere is very laid back, and it’s an excellent place to take your family for breakfast and good coffee. At both locations in Lincoln, guests can find French presses and coffee beans to make drinks at home. 

Meadowlark

Mo Java

Mo Java is a coffee house and bar in Lincoln. All of their roasting is done in-house, and it’s a great place to enjoy coffee with friends. They offer indoor seating with lots of local art and outdoor seating with a great view!

NuVibe

NuVibe Juice and Java is one of Lincoln’s signature coffee shops that also offers healthy smoothies and snacks. All products are made from scratch and with all-natural ingredients. Their lobby has lots of cozy spaces to work or study, as well as booths for groups to enjoy beverages or snacks.

Destinations Coffeehouse

Located in what used to be a local auto shop, Destinations Coffeehouse has a unique and inviting environment. They are a nonprofit organization with a mission to provide college students with a place to study, strive and build connections with other students. They offer a wide range of beverages including coffee, chai tea, and smoothies.

Indigo Bridge

Indigo Bridge Books and Cafe is a calm space to go for a cup of coffee and a quiet read. They sell both coffee and books, with 100% of their proceeds going back into improving the local community. They host many local events including art shows, book clubs and monthly workshops.

The Bay

The Bay is famous for its skatepark but also is well known as a quaint coffee shop that serves unique, custom-made drinks. It’s a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee while soaking up the culture of the skateboarding community.

The Foundry

The Foundry is a beloved nonprofit incubator located downtown. It’s a great, quick stop for coffee lovers to pick out hand-crafted coffee, espresso, and a simple homemade breakfast. Better yet, all proceeds go back to supporting local nonprofits.

Hub Cafe

The Hub Cafe is in the beautiful Union Plaza Park at 21st and P streets. The name is appropriate for the gatherings hosted throughout the year: Hub and Soul music series, bicyclists gathering for group rides, downtowners starting their days with a hot cup of coffee and a great locally sourced bite to eat. The cafe offers breakfast, lunch and weekend brunch.
