SPRING

Woolapalooza Festival, Lincoln (March)
Drumlin Farm Wildlife Sanctuary hosts the annual event that includes sheep-shearing, herding-dog demonstrations, farm life and art activities. A wonderfully unique experience.

Sap to Syrup, Lincoln (March)
Pancake breakfast with an educational twist. Farmers' breakfast with other highlights that include sap collection, learning about sap to syrup techniques, and the history of the trees that produce maple syrup. Explore the property and visit the resident livestock.

Spring on the Farm, Sheep Sheering, Lincoln (April)
If you want to experience a centuries-old specialty craft, you should visit Codman Farms' sheep-shearing event. The annual event includes demos on shearing sheep. In addition, to the shearing demos, there are demonstrations on knitting, spinning and felting the fleece. Fleece is also available to purchase. An added bonus, visit all the adorable newly born lambs, kids, calves and chicks!

Patriots Day Parade in Lexington (April)
Patriots Day is Lexington Day. The historical significance that occurred the morning of April 1775 is integral to the fabric of Lexington's rich history. Event parade is a wonderful, family-friendly annual event.

Lexington Green and Concord North Bridge Re-enactments (April)
In observation of the historical significance of the battles of Lexington and Concord, re-enactments are held annually. A true walk through history. You'll be surprised by how the re-enactments feel as you relive the thrilling beginning of the Patriots' fight for freedom from British rule.


SUMMER

Fourth of July Celebrations (July)
It is no surprise the Minuteman area, filled with rich American history, will take pride in hosting wonderful 4th of July celebrations. So here are the local towns that partake in their own fireworks and other celebrations: Acton, Bedford, Carlisle, Concord, Harvard, Lexington, and Lincoln.

Verrill Farm Strawberry Festival, Concord (June)
From strawberry picking to strawberry rhubarb pies and strawberries shortcake, this event a sure pleaser. There is plenty of food, entertainment, hayride and pony rides, as well as strawberry dessert contests.

Bolton Fair, Bolton (August)
A classic New England Fair, perfect for the entire family and entrenched with some old-fashioned fun. A three-day event with various attractions such as the Lumber Jack Show, Demolition Derby. Lots of animals, music, exhibits, food and crafters. A full day of enjoyment.


FALL

Bedford Day, Bedford (September)
Going strong for more than 40 years, this family-friendly, fun-filled day includes a road race, parade, a fair, food, fireworks and so much more!

The Battle for the Airfield WWII, Hudson (October)
An amazing event for all ages to experience. The WWII re-enactment is filled with fully restored military equipment and over 300 re-enactors. A truly memorable event even for non-history buffs. Recommend ear plugs for younger kids, as it gets quite loud when the show is in full action.

Honey Pot Orchards, Stow (Fall)
A full day of fun that offers apple picking, corn maze, barn animals, and fresh apple cider donuts. Make sure to leave plenty of time to get there, as it gets quite busy on weekends.

Maynard and Hudson's Halloween Trick or Treat Night  (October)
An annual fun-filled tradition organized by the Chamber of Commerce, is a wonderful community event where participating store-owners put out pumpkins in their windows, notifying kids that they are ready to hand out Halloween treats. The event is held in downtown Hudson and Maynard from 4-6 pm. The street access will be unavailable during this event.

Witches Woods Haunted House, Westford (October)
This is an awesome Halloween attraction. The actors really took pride into showing everyone a frightful night out. Various attractions.


WINTER

Maynard Christmas and Holiday Parade, Maynard (December) 
Parade includes floats, Santa, bands, antique cars, and more. 

Tower Hill Botanic Garden, Boylston, MA (December)
A must-see! The spectacular lights illuminate the Tower Hill’s garden and landscape for over 15 acres. Enjoy the fire pits around the property that offer warmth, s’mores and hot drinks. This event sells out fast, so be sure to get timed tickets quickly online.

Boxborough’s Annual Tree Lighting, Boxborough
The annual Tree Lighting Celebration takes place on the Town Common. The Blanchard Elementary Brass Ensemble and Chorus will lead the community in singing seasonal favorites. Santa will visit! Please consider bringing food donations for the local food pantry.

Looking for the perfect tree? Here are some of the locals' favorite places to shop for trees: The Elks in Maynard; Mistletoe Christmas Tree Farm, Stow; and Houde's Christmas Trees, Marlborough.
