Craftsmen Park is a nonprofit park located in the heart of Portage Lakes, Ohio. Owned and operated by the Masons of Summit County. Its purpose is to provide a facility to be used for camps for children, teaching them the moral and ethical skills needed to become good citizens and productive members of society.
Crystal Springs Bridge Park

Dedicated in 1996, this park connects the Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath with Erie Avenue and Forty Corners. It stretches across the Tuscarawas River and is preserved as one of Jackson Township’s historical structures. Visitors to Crystal Springs can enjoy a scenic hike or a casual bicycle ride along the historic Ohio and Erie Canal Towpath.
Dogwood Park

Dogwood Park, on the eastern side of North Canton, offers many of the same options as Price Park, plus a shelter available for rentals. It is adjacent to Dogwood Swimming Pool. Dogwood Pool has 15,000 square feet of water surface and offers a water slide and diving well. Children under 6 can enjoy their own wading pool.
Dog Park at Ariss Park

This park features large and small dog areas, 1.87-acre off-leash dog run and water foundations for both owners and dogs. Includes a large-dog area (25 pounds-plus) and a small-dog area (25 pounds or less). There are even water foundations for the dogs and their humans!
Fisher Park

The park, Established in 1989, has increased in size from 9 acres to 27 acres thanks to the generosity of East Ohio Gas in 1997. There are five ball fields, four soccer fields, a playground, picnic pavilion with picnic tables (seats maximum 100 people), two charcoal grills, and restrooms located on the property.
John Torok Community Park and Senior Center

This park features the Green Veterans Memorial Park, half-mile walking path, the Torok Community and Senior Center Facility and a playground. The Community Park also provides health and fitness opportunities for residents. The asphalt walking track is always open. Residents looking for an early morning walk or jog in a safe environment or a brisk walk on a cool summer evening, are encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful park amenity.
Knapp Recreation Area

This hidden gem is quaint but has a genuinely nice path down to the lake. It is over a half mile to lake from parking lot and has a nice picnic shelter. Good place to walk your dog and enjoy beautiful nature.
Lake Nesmith Park

Lake Nesmith Park is located just to the west of Manchester Road and offers a plethora of recreational experiences to its visitors. This park lies on a 24-acre property adjoining the Nesmith Lake. Fully equipped with picnic tables, ball diamonds and plenty of open space, and is a spot mostly frequented by families and couples for a relaxing time outside in nature.
Memorial Park

The Village of Hartville operates Memorial Park, on Lincoln St. across the street from the elementary school complex. There is a children’s playground and a half-mile walking path. The park closes at dusk. Reservations for the picnic pavilions may be made with the Village office.
North Canton Skateboard Park

The City of North Canton maintains a 14,000-square-foot skateboard park located between Dogwood Park and directly behind the North Canton City EMS building. The park features multiple ramps, including ramps with platforms and two grind rails.
It is open during regular park hours and available year-round, weather permitting. Adjacent to the park is a basketball court that adds to the park’s features.

North Park
7660 Fulton Rd NW, Massillon, OH 44646
This beautiful 70-acre complex located at 7660 Fulton Rd. NW across from Jackson High School, features a picnic pavilion, restrooms, fully accessible playground, a multi-use track used for skating and bicycling, six tennis courts, four basketball courts, one pickleball court and two sand volleyball courts. There is also a stocked, 1-and-a-half-acre fishing pond with a boardwalk and gazebo.
For your walking pleasure, there is a 1.1-mile paved walking track. The walking track is marked with yellow hash marks at every one-tenth of a mile.
Pets are prohibited at the North Park.

Portage Lakes Wetland State Nature Preserve

Portage Lakes Wetland State Nature Preserve is primarily a tall shrub sphagnum bog community dominated by speckled alder and arrowwood. This wet basin is too wet to enter without ankle-high boots and can be difficult to walk through the thick shrubs but is second to none in terms of a sightseeing hiking destination if you enjoy sound of birds. Some of the rare species found growing here include swamp birch, tamarack, alder-leaved buckthorn, and smooth gooseberry.

South Park

Located at. South Park includes the Jackson Bog State Nature Preserve. There are 2 miles of hiking trails that are accessible to the public. Trails leading through the State Nature Preserve offer a rare look into the pristine habitats of hundreds of plants that have survived the ice age.
Uniontown Community Park

The Uniontown Community Park Association operates the Uniontown Community Park, occupying twenty-five wooded acres at the end of Apollo St., off Cleveland Ave. in Uniontown. The park has a playground, an outdoor gazebo, an open picnic shelter seating 36, outdoor picnic areas, horseshoe pits, a volleyball court and a fishing pond. The All Veterans Memorial was added in 2005. Their Community Center, seating 250 people, is a favorite place for wedding receptions, dances, parties, and meetings. Reservations may be made with the Uniontown Community Park Association.

This park serves as a gathering place to thank, honor, and celebrate the lives of all who served "The United States of America" by creating a place of respect, pride, of hope, and a demonstration of patriotism. Annually, the Veterans Memorial Park holds the Veterans Day Ceremony in November.
