Historic Downtown/Mercer Street/Old Fitzhugh
Dripping Springs, even with all the recent growth of the area, still retains its small-town feel and connection to its culture and history. As you will discover during your own explorations, many of the quaint shops and local businesses are housed in structures that were built in the early 1900s and even before that. Most of the buildings that currently operate as a clothing boutique, antique shop or neighborhood brewpub at one time served the community as livery stables, a gas station for early-century automobiles or the combination barbershop/post office.
So come take your own trip to the past if you need to find that perfect “present.” These are just a few of the many special places in Dripping Springs with their unique personality and flair to help you feel at home in your new home. You will soon realize there is much more to discover.
