We are Keith and Lisa Flippin, publishers of BeLocal Washington County, and we enjoy working with locals and businesses to build community connections.
With all the changes that a new move can bring, it is our hope that this magazine will help. This resource contains the best advice that our locals can propose regarding what the area offers. BeLocal is a guide to the best of everything you will need and want as you make your adjustment to your new home. Inside you will find favorite local hidden gems, dining, pet spots, history, arts, things for kids, and annual events, just to name a few.
Lisa and I have two grown daughters and three grandchildren. We were in the ministry for over 34 years and moved back to Johnson City in 2015. We also publish two other magazines for two private neighborhoods. We decided to offer this third magazine to help newcomers learn more about the area.
