It includes a 50-meter competition pool, and it boasts four diving boards. There’s also an instructional pool designed for younger swimmers, a recreational pool with a lazy river, an inflatable obstacle course and two 30-foot water slides.
Wackford Aquatic Complex
9014 Bruceville Road, Elk Grove
Wackford Aquatic Complex is your year-round community water park, and it is so much more than your average swimming pool! It’s home to the 45-foot-long-by-9-foot-high inflatable obstacle course called Double Trouble, as well as the 160-foot single-rider waterslide called Typhoon Tower. Your little ones will love Splash Island, a shallow wading pool with an interactive splash playground.
Jerry Fox Swim Center
9950 Elk Grove Florin Road, Elk Grove
The Jerry Fox Swim Center, located within Elk Grove Park, is a seasonal facility that provides opportunities to laugh, splash and play. Although smaller than the other two pools, it is home to a 140-foot waterslide called Clyde’s Plunge and a 25-yard swimming pool with six lanes. It is surrounded by oak trees that provide plenty of shade, and you’ll also find picnic tables.
Spray Grounds & Water Play
Seasonal Hours: Open daily May-September, 10 a.m.-8 p.m.
Cosumnes CSD offers parks with spray ground and water play features that have little or no standing water and offer a safe and welcoming playground where children of all abilities can come and play together. There are ground nozzles and water downspouts that spray water upwards out of the splash deck. Your little ones can run through a tunnel of spray rings or just cool off under towering dump buckets that fill with water! Below are three spray grounds that locals love:
Derr-Okamoto Park: 9550 Mainline Drive, Elk Grove
Morse Community Park: 5540 Bellaterra Drive, Elk Grove
Oasis Park: 8015 Poppy Ridge Road, Elk Grove
