A Global Chain Gone Local:
Sofa Cafe has a shop in Framingham. It has six others in Southern Brazil. It’s a truly global brand that first launched in South America chose Eastern Massachusetts as its place to expand. 
 
After much success in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, the owners of Sofa launched a satellite store on Newbury Street in Boston in 2014 before then branching out to Framingham.
 
As they’ve taken their brainchild around the world, owners have experimented, crafting everything from lime and sugar-infused lattes to their “Cult” drunk featuring espresso, milk, Nutella and Baileys coffee creamer.
