Family in the Old City: Jacqueline and Frank

Frank and Jaqueline's story started long before their St. Augustine-based business. Jacqueline came from a northern town called Bucks County, located outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her college journey led her to St. Augustine and the beautiful Flagler College. On the other hand, Frank is a Florida native, born and raised in Miami, where he spent most of his young life until his family decided to escape the fast pace of the city and move to a smaller, more tranquil setting.

Jacqueline and Frank had the pleasure of meeting through mutual friends in late 2009. They instantly clicked and became good friends, and their relationship remained "just friends" for the next four years. Life took its course, and they lost contact for a couple of years, unaware that they were living just a bike ride away from each other in Lincolnville. Lincolnville is an up-and-coming area in historic downtown St. Augustine, located just south of the Flagler campus, where they had shared so many fun memories just a few short years before.

Fast forward to the present, Frank and Jacqueline are head over heels in love with two beautiful babies. Their oldest, Luke, is three, and Josie is one. They are two years and five days apart, and their relationship grows closer every day as Josie becomes more capable and Luke becomes more patient with his baby sister. So far, Josie is very sweet to her brother, and Luke is adapting very well to the role of an older brother.

Jacqueline and Frank discovered their entrepreneurial spirit in the past few years, launching two small businesses. Frank had come to Jacqueline with the idea of Moon Tide years before it became a reality. When COVID hit, their once stable bartending jobs were not feeling so secure with what was happening in the world, and they decided it might be time to become their own bosses.

They researched campers and found an incredible company out of North Carolina that would help them build the shell of the camper. They brought their new venture home, and with Jacqueline’s design ideas, Frank got to work building the modern yet chic interior. Soon after the bar’s completion, they had their first booking, and business sped up quicker than they had anticipated. Frank knew they would need another bar, so he built a smaller, more portable bar they call the Bar Cart, which can fit in more confined spaces and venues.

Over the last two years, Frank and Jacqueline have learned how to perfect the entire bar experience for their customer, allowing them to be completely stress-free when it comes to everyone’s favorite part of a good party… the drinks! When you book with Moon Tide, you get everything you need to have a good time—with none of the hard work.

The past few years have been fabulous fro this pair. St. Augustine has served as a perfect launch pad for their relationship, their children, and their businesses. Together, Frank and Jaqueline make for one heck of a party.
